Ballard Avenue to become walking street?
Rumors are circulating through Ballard that the City is considering making Ballard Avenue a walking street and alternate route to the bike path: up one street from Shilshole Avenue. As I learn more I will let you know.
Sorry to delete the prior comment -- there was a partial sentence .... brain freeze.
My prior comment was that I like the idea of a pedestrianized street. However as a regular visitor to Ballard Ave. I worry about the effect of this decision on the merchants and public. There is already so little parking on nights and weekends.
